Why folinic acid, isolated
Pro uses the same folinic acid (calcium folinate) studied in the ASD trials (Frye 2018, PMC5794882; Renard 2020 EFFET; Zhang 2025) at a higher per-capsule dose, with adenosylcobalamin, the mitochondrial B12, and a calibrated 2.5 mg of active B6, so a practitioner can read the folate-and-B12 response without extra variables. The 2021 meta-analysis reported the strongest response in folate-receptor-antibody-positive children (Rossignol & Frye 2021, PMC8622150), which is why testing is worth discussing before a higher-dose protocol.*

We know of no other capsule that combines folinic acid with active B2, active B6 and two forms of B12 in one dose. The high-dose folinic powders on the market are single-ingredient with a few cofactors; children's multivitamins are broad but low-dose; prescription leucovorin is the same folate molecule as a tablet, typically made with lactose.
Speech Essentials is made with folinic acid (calcium folinate), the same folate molecule, 5-formyltetrahydrofolate, that leucovorin is based on and the compound used in the folinic-acid studies in children with ASD (Frye 2018, PMC5794882; Renard 2020). It is a dietary supplement, not a drug: not FDA-approved, not a substitute for any prescribed medication, and we make no claim of pharmaceutical equivalence. Same folate, made without lactose, in a capsule you can open and titrate.
